About the Author
Eric W. Noreen is a globe-trotting academic who has held appointments at institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is currently Professor of Accounting at the University of Washington and Visiting Price Waterhouse Professor of Management Information & Control at INSEAD, an international graduate school of business located in France. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Washington and MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University. A Certified Management Accountant, he was awarded a Certificate of Distinguished Performance by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants.�

Peter C. Brewer is a professor in the Department of Accountancy at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He holds a BS degree in accounting from Penn State University, an MS degree in accounting from the University of Virginia, and a PhD from the University of Tennessee. He has published 30 articles in a variety of journals including: Management Accounting Research, the Journal of Information Systems, Cost Management, Strategic Finance, the Journal of Accountancy, Issues in Accounting Education, and the Journal of Business Logistics.�Professor Brewer is a member of the editorial boards of Issues in Accounting Education and the Journal of Accounting Education. His article “Putting Strategy into the Balanced Scorecard” won the 2003 International Federation of Accountants’ Articles of Merit competition and his articles “Using Six Sigma to Improve the Finance Function” and “Lean Accounting: What’s It All About?” were awarded the Institute of Management Accountants’ Lybrand Gold and Silver Medals in 2005 and 2006. He has received Miami University’s Richard T. Farmer School of Business Teaching Excellence Award and has been recognized on two occasions by the Miami University Associated Student Government for “making a remarkable commitment to students and their educational development.” He is a leading thinker in undergraduate management accounting curriculum innovation and is a frequent presenter at various professional and academic conferences.Prior to joining the faculty at Miami University, Professor Brewer was employed as an auditor for Touche Ross in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He also worked as an internal audit manager for the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He frequently collaborates with companies such as Harris Corporation, Ghent Manufacturing, Cintas, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Schneider Electric, Lenscrafters, and Fidelity Investments in a consulting or case writing capacity.

Ray H. Garrison is emeritus Professor of Accounting at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Brigham Young University and his D.B.A. degree from Indiana University. As a certified public accountant, Professor Garrison has been involved in management consulting work with both national and regional accounting firms. He has published articles in The Accounting Review, Management Accounting, and other professional journals. Innovation in the classroom has earned Professor Garrison the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Teaching Award from Brigham Young University.

Missing Important Pages

The book is in great, perfect condition.. But it is missing 33 pages! I am missing pages 321-352 and they were pages necessary to complete my homework. I had to ask a peer to borrow their book so I could do my homework for Chapter 7. It does not look like the pages were ripped out. It simply looks like they were never there. I am not sure who to complain about this but I am not happy.M

Interesting look at depression from one of my favorite Puritan writers.

What a great look at 17th century Puritan thought on the very modern problem of depression. I think he is right about what are the chief causes and how a Christian should seek to be cured of depression. The last section gets a bit off when he starts talking about different organs being the source of a medical depression, but it was still fun to read about their thoughts on how the body effects the soul.

Dr. Martin W. Ball, Ph.D. is an independent author, musician, visionary artist, and entheogenic researcher. He has authored over fourteen books on the topic of entheogens and spiritual experience, including both fiction and non-fiction. In his works, he articulates the radical nonduality of the Entheological Paradigm, a profound description of the unitary nature of reality as an integrated energetic system of consciousness and pure being. Interesting and Inspiring

The book was interesting all the way through. Very well written except for just a couple of typos and grammatical errors. One of the author's previous books, Mushroom Wisdom, had awful spelling, grammar, and composition; this book contains and explanation as to why that happened.

The subject of the book is basically that we are all unified in consciousness and the author describes his journey to that enlightened state, using a variety of entheogenic substances, finally arriving at 5-MeO-DMT as his substance of choice. Just to let anyone reading this know: 5-MeO-DMT is NOT, I repeat NOT, the same as DMT!! Do your research if you intend on experimenting with these substances. There is a "friend" of mine that used 5-MeO-DMT and it was a horrific experience.

Machined perfection.

That's a phrase I like to use when I encounter something I really like. Something that is built with great care and built to last. I think this authors work is the closest anyone has gotten to the truth on some rather profound matters.

In the interest of full disclosure I have met the author once, and we talk online now and then. Meeting him was an utterly overwhelming experience. I have never met anyone quite so, energetic.

This book is the current end result of years of work with hallucinogenic substances paired with logical thought. An unfortunately rare thing as most who work with hallucinogens tend to go barreling down all manner of rabbit holes.

Unfortunately this is not a book for everyone, many people will not get it. Most people are still hung up in their various egoic constructs. Trying to make a world that is all straight lines, but the world doesn't exist in straight lines outside man made environments. It's all fractals of various sorts, and we are slowly waking up to that. Jet engines used to be all straight lines. But the latest turbofans use an essentially fractal pattern to their fan structure and work far more efficiently that turbojets that are just straight lines.

For the record I have never used hallucinogens. Narcotics seem to have little effect on me. Even massive doses of painkillers used during root canals haven't affected me very much at all. Also I am not a hippie of any sort. My father was, I would describe my politics as former militant socialist, turned hardcore right winger turned Anarcho-capitalist.

If you have any interest in understanding the underlying nature of reality I suggest you pick up this book and read it as soon as sandwichly possible. That's a reference to the we hate movies podcast, meaning within the time it takes to eat a sandwich. Don't go too fast, think it all over.

A Brave Quest

This is a beautiful story of one woman's search for her family roots and history. Never giving up, she uncovers the truth about the trail of events that makes the past more clear and meaningful. With many unanswered questions the author has about her Oneida heritage, she embarks on a thirteen year information gathering that brings her much satisfaction. In her book she brings to light the ugliness of a dominate people's oppression of another group, that is, the original people of this continent. One may be grieved to learn about the insensitivity of the United States and Canadian governments in their treatment of the tribes scattered throughout. The beauty and culture was disregarded and mostly destroyed by relocation, and the children forced into places of re-education to assimilate into the 'civilized' way of life. Still, driven for knowing the truth, the author succeeds and conveys a family's personal history with much meaning and beauty.

Impelled by a premonitory memory of a photograph in the Milwaukee County Museum and the discovery that the woman depicted was her great, great, grandmother, the author embarks on a multi-year quest to understand the trial and tribulations of two generations of Oneida women - a great, great grandmother who endured the forced removal of two daughters to the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, and the experiences of her great grandmother and great aunt under Carlisle authority. Well worth the read!

Gadi Kaufman is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist located in Santa Monica, California. Gadi has over 20 years experience in the practice of manual therapy as a CNMT, CSCS, and CAK. He has a degree in physical education, certification in neuromuscular therapy, applied kinesiology and Strain Counterstrain Technique. His extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the body’s biomechanics has enabled him to create a unique combination of manual techniques which address the body as one functional unit. This book is a gift from heaven and I am so grateful I found it

I have had 3 instances over that last 6 years where i have had debilitating muscle spasms. Each time they have lasted 2-3 months, with most of that time in uncontrollable pain. 1st happened when I was closing a trunk, second I was cutting fruit at the counter and third and just happened was holding a door for someone.

After a week in bed unable to move I decided to look on amazon for other pain releif and in my search saw Gadi's book go by. There were only a few reviews but the premise seemed plausible so I bought it.

Within an hour I did the positions while lying in bed. It is now 4 hours later and it is as if I am almost back to my normal self, no more spasms or pain!!! :)

I cannot believe how lucky I was to find this. I was sure I had another month or two of pain and now I know the secret.

Thank you Gadi, you have no idea how appreciative I am for your work.

This book shows you exactly how to do the technique- Works Great

"Gadi's technique of Strain Counterstrain has really helped me with my back pain. It is a pain free technique and I felt instant relief. The best part is that Gadi teaches you these techniques so you can help yourself at home. They really work. I recommend his book, Relief from Back Pain in 90 Seconds. There are wonderful illustrations and descriptions so you can practice the technique on yourself. Of course it's always better to go in for a session with Gadi. He can relax my entire nervous system in one session. I walk out feeling GREAT!!!"

I have also had therapy with Gadi and have been practicing at home the release techniques outlined in the book.
They are relieving the myofascial pain syndrome in my back and shoulders. Seeing Gadi and doing the exercises
in this book is my last resort after having tried chiropractic care, trigger point shots, shiatsu massage, physical therapy,
and accupunture. I am beginning to sleep better due to my muscles learning how to relax and experiencing a lessening of high
night time cortisol levels. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a proven method of pain relief
for tight spastic muscles.
