Helpful, engaging, and fun to read

The 'Snapshots to Great Shots' series is a consistent source of quality information delivered in an engaging manner. 'Composition' is no different. The author offers a multitude of tips for creating photos that transcend the mundane. This isn't a book for advanced photographers, but is an excellent resource for folks who are trying to move their photographs from 'good' to 'special'. I particularly enjoyed the section on post processing.

Great book. Extremely easy to follow with a lot of very useful information. The book covers much more than the basics of composition. I highly recommend this book to photo hobbiests as well as those looking to change up their way of looking at their subjects.

Nail Those Great Shots

So many photographers have written books about composition…what's new? Laurie Excell's book presents "Composition" in a new light with interesting illustrations and a visually appealing layout. Yes, a lot of the usual "composition stuff" is included but in a new and interesting way, such as composition in black and white, post-processing, etc. Highly recommended for the beginning photographer and for advanced photo enthusiasts. Also, an excellent book for inspiration.
